COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) – Missouri freshman defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr. will undergo an MRI for a right knee strain that could sideline him the rest of the season.
Coach Gary Pinkel said Beckner will not be on the depth chart for the home finale Saturday night against Tennessee. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Beckner was carted off after the first defensive snap in last week’s victory over BYU in Kansas City.
Beckner, from East St. Louis, Illinois, was one of the top recruits in the nation. He made five starts, including the last two, and had three sacks plus eight tackles for loss.
