Springfield, MO (KTRS) Convoy Of Hope is reaching out to help the victims of the California wildfires.
The Springfield, Missouri-based International humanitarian relief organization, is sending food, water, and personal hygiene items to Santa Rosa, California.
“This initial load will be delivered to one of our church partners in the area,” says Stacy Lamb, U.S. response director for Convoy of Hope. “We have also scheduled additional loads to deploy in the coming days.”
The wildfires in California marks the 18th domestic response for Convoy of Hope so far in 2017.
Convoy of Hope currently has response teams working in Texas, Florida, the British Virgin Islands, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
“The last six weeks have been a busy season for our team,” adds Lamb. “But, this is the type of thing we prepare for and we are determined to serve as many people as possible — bringing hope to those who need it most.”
