TROY, MO (KTRS) Investigators say the pilot of a small plane has escaped with only an arm injury after a crash near Troy in Lincoln County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the plane went down Thursday afternoon in a wooded area about seven miles southwest of Troy in Lincoln County. The pilot was the only person on the plane and was taken to a hospital with a possible broken arm.

Authorities aren’t sure what caused the crash. Wright City firefighters were on the scene shortyl after the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate.

The pilot’s name has not been released.
