(KTRS) – Joseph Bowens murdered the night manager at a St. Louis hotel in 2015; Tuesday he found out that he will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Bowens was found guilty in April of killing Scott Knopfel during a robbery in January of last year. Knopfel was the night manager at the Drury Inn and Suites on Hampton near I-44. Bowens had a criminal history that included convictions for DWI, robbery, assault, and other felonies.
