St. Louis, MO (KTRS) The man wanted in connection with an armed robbery attempt at a North County Credit Union last week is in custody.
County police say that 21-year-old Decarlo Powell of Florissant has been arrested on second-degree murder and other charges for his role in Tuesday’s incident.
Police say that Powell and his accomplice, 19-year-old Jordan Pruitt, attempted to rob the ATM at the Vantage Credit Union located in the 600 block of Greenway Chase Drive in Florissant as it was being serviced. In an exchange of gunfire with the armed guards, Pruitt was shot and killed. Charging documents say the duo were out on bond, awaiting sentencing, for committing a similar crime at a different Vantage Credit Union back in 2017.
Powell is currently being held without bond.
