Quick Thoughts……

Matt Carpenter adds to list of starting first baggers for the Cardinals this year………Tejada gets a start at 3B in an attempt to stack the line-up with right-handed bats against the lefty Corbin……… Inconsistent play and nagging injuries have made this a lost April for Kolten Wong. He is out of the line-up again. He’s not playing against lefties or righties right now…….Adam Wainwright showed some improvement against the Padres last weekend, but further improvement could be tough in the bandbox that is Chase Field. Waino’s numbers in Arizona aren’t bad though, 1-2 2.79 ERA…….The Cardinals have an incredible SEVEN pinch-hit home runs so far this year. It’s the clubs most PH dingers since 2009 when they hit 8 for the ENTIRE season.
