(KTRS) – Missouri lawmakers in charge of proposing a budget for next year have had a change of heart when it comes to payments for the Edward Jones Dome.
The vice chairman of the House Budget committee said he plans to reinsert the $12 million payment for the dome into the 2017 budget. The committee recently pulled that money out of a budget proposal. Both Democrats and Republicans were upset that Governor Jay Nixon moved ahead with a funding plan for a new NFL stadium in St. Louis.
The Post-Dispatch reports that the money was returned to budget with the understanding that the Governor would not use the money for a new stadium in St. Louis.
