Belleville, IL  (KTRS)  Natural gas is suspected as the cause of a house explosion in Belleville.

Firefighters responded after an explosion at a home along the 400 block of 40th Street around 4 a.m. Tuesday. This caused a neighboring home to catch fire. No injuries were reported.

Fire officials say both homes were vacant and believed to be up for sale.
