DE SOTO, Mo. (AP) — Four firefighters are recovering from non-life threatening injuries suffered while battling a five-alarm brush fire in Jefferson County.
The fire was reported Thursday afternoon near DeSoto. About 15 acres burned, along with five sheds and a barn. One residence sustained an undisclosed amount of damage.
Authorities say one firefighter was treated for a burn, but no other information was immediately available. Another had debris in his eyes, another had a shoulder injury, and the fourth suffered an undisclosed injury.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
