St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  A firefighter is recovering after being injured while battling a fire an early morning in south St. Louis.

Firefighters were called to a burning apartment building in the 4200 block of Botanical in the Shaw neighborhood Thursday morning. Authorities say the firefighter fell through a floor. He was taken to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

There’s no word on what caused the fire.
