Festival of Nations is back this weekend, an annual event that is expected to draw more than 100,000 people to Tower Grove Park on Saturday and Sunday. The popular festival is put on each year by the International Institute of STL, and shares the music, food, and culture celebrated by immigrant communities in the STL area. In fact, the Institute reports that immigrants account for about 5% of this region’s population, and currently are seeing the largest number of immigrants and refugees here in 20 years. There’s a large line-up of both local and international musical acts, and more than 200 vendors and artists showcasing the food and culture of more than 75 countries. Festival of Nations at Tower Grove Park runs from 10am until 8pm on Saturday, and 10 to 7 on Sunday. Steve Potter, KTRS News.
