St. Louis (KTRS) An excessive heat warning goes into effect Wednesday at 1 P.M.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning will last until 8 P.M. Saturday, as heat indices are expected to reach 113 degrees, with temperatures topping out in the upper 90’s and dew points in the 70’s.

You are urged to exercise caution when going outside for extended periods of time.
