This may be FC Cincinnati’s first trip to the park, but not for their coach. For former US Men’s National Team captain John Harkes, the WWT Soccer Park is familiar territory. Harkes represented the U.S. in World Cup Qualifier matches against Costa Rica on April 30th, 1989 and against El Salvador on November 5th, 1989.
FC Cincinnati travels to World Wide Technology Soccer Park after falling 2-1 against Rochester Rhinos. This loss ended an eleven game unbeaten streak and marks the third loss for them in USL action this year.
STL FC is coming off what coach Schilly called an “Unacceptable” performance in a frustrating match against Seattle Sounders 2. Scoring was all St. Louis in the dissappointing 1-1 draw in the two teams’ only competition this season. St. Louisians, Barklage and Cochran, had the assists on Fink’s equalizer in the 86th minute.
Cincinnati sits at the third spot in the Eastern Conference standing with 31 points, while Saint Louis is sixth in the Western Conference tallying 23 points.
Fans will receive a STL FC grab bag and will be sure to pick a up Dale Schilly Dog at the concessions stand when they arrive at stadium.
