The Cardinals hope for better results than their mid-April tussle with the Cubs at Busch. Maybe a mid-90s pop rock play list in the clubhouse did the trick?

Notes: Adam Wainwright takes the mound tonight with a May record of 3-0, with an ERA of 4.50. Waino has effectively shrunk the LOUD hits against him, lowering his SLG% against by some 100 points from April, and has allowed just one home run, after teams teed off against him to the tune of four long balls last month. Wainwright can also build off some recent success against the Cubs, having not allowed an earned run since May 2014, a span 23 innings. After a day off yesterday, Matt Holliday is back in the line-up and batting third tonight against John Lackey. Over his last 30 plate appearances, Holliday is hitting just .074. That includes six strikeouts, and just three walks.
