True sophomore Drew Lock has won the starting quarterback job, at least for week 1. Sophomore Marvin Zanders should see time as well.
Alex Ross is listed as a starter at running back, while the offensive line contains three RS Sophomores, a Junior, and a RS Junior.

On defense, three surprise starters show up on the defensive line, with Josh Augusta and Terry Beckner Jr. listed as second string. Junior Jordan Harold is listed as a starter opposite Charles Harris at DE. Harold was a walk-on last year, and a former recruit at NW Missouri St.

It appears to be a unanimous sentiment among the players, that the anticipation of seeing a power 5 school in week is high. Coach Odom is excited to finally compete against another team, but may not share the sentiment about seeing a team the caliber of West Virginia right off the bat.
“If I was setting the schedule, it’d be a little different,” said Odom. “I’m excited about the opportunity as well. There’s something to say about going into someone else’s place, and having the opportunity to compete.”
Maybe the unknowns of what the Tigers will unveil this Saturday have caused Las Vegas to pull back a little bit on the point spread.
