Arnold, MO (KTRS) The Arnold police officer who was shot last month by a burglary suspect is showing improvement.
The Arnold Police Department posted the following update about Officer Ryan O’Connor on its Facebook page:
Friends!
We are absolutely thrilled and elated to post this update on Ryan directly from the O’Connor family!
“Ryan has made some small but significant improvements. He is breathing on his own and the ventilator has been removed. He also gave us a great surprise by opening his pretty blue eyes. We are so pleased with the progress he has made in the past week and welcome and appreciate your continued thoughts, prayers and support.”
Meanwhile, another fundraiser is planned to benefit Officer O’Connor and his family. A benefit concert will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Rickman Auditorium in Arnold. The concert will feature Butch Wax and The Hollywoods and the Lunchbag Blues Band.
The event is being hosted by The Arnold Food Pantry and sponsored by the City of Arnold and the Fox C-6 School District. Tickets are $20 and $25.
Tickets can be purchased at the Arnold Recreation Center, The Arnold Food Pantry Thrift Store, or online at www.brownpapertickets.com
