ST. LOUIS (KTRS) Arnold Police Officer Ryan O’Connor has been taken to a Colorado rehabilitation facility, where he’ll undergo further treatment for injuries he suffered last month. First responder vehicles … fire engines, police cars, etc … lined up along Interstate 64 Monday about noon with their lights flashing to escort O’Connor, who was being taken to Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield.
O’Connor was shot in the head last month by a burglary suspect and has been recovering since then. O’Connor will be treated at the same rehabilitation center … Craig Hospital in Denver … where other area police officers were taken for injuries they suffered in the line of duty.
Ballwin Officer Michael Flamion, Hazelwood Officer Craig Tudor and St. Louis Officer Gary Glasby Junior were treated at Craig Hospital. St. Louis County Police say Officers Flamion and Tudor were on hand at Spirit Airport Monday for Officer O’Connor’s departure.
