St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A woman is in jail following a north city homicide.

According to police, officers responded to a shooting call in the 4200 block of Clay Avenue Friday just before 1 P.M. and found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

39-year-old Carliss Cordell is charged with 1st degree murder and armed criminal action.

The identity of the victim has not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
