St. Louis, MO (KTRS) It’s day three of jury selection in the felony invasion of privacy trial of Governor Eric Greitens.
The trial was expected to start Monday, but jury selection is taking longer than anticipated. Here’s break down of the numbers – so far 85 of the 160 potential jurors have been questioned. The other 75 expected to show up today. Thirty-three jurors have made it through to the next round of questioning, with 50 being dismissed.
Judge Rex Burlison hopes to get 12 jurors plus 3 alternates seated by tomorrow in order for trial to begin on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, no images of the former mistress of the Governor were found on his cellphone. A special examiner extracted thousands of images from Greitens’ cellphone. According to the defense, none of those images were of the woman with whom the governor had an affair.
