ST. LOUIS (KTRS) Charges of sexual assault have been filed against a teacher in the Parkway School District in St. Louis County. St. Louis County Police say 42-year-old Ronald Smith, Jr., has been charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and sexual contact of student by a teacher. Smith is being held on $150,000 bond.

According to police, Smith had intercourse with the victim, who was under the age of 17, between May and November, 2017. In addition, police say the defendant committed sodomy with the victim between August and December, 2015, and had sexual contact with the victim between August, 2015, and June, 2016, at Parkway South Middle School.
