CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) — A St. Louis man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing an Illinois college student who was lured to a remote area under the guise of a deal to sell his car.
Michael Gordon was sentenced Tuesday in St. Louis County. He was convicted of first-degree murder in October.
Nineteen-year-old Taylor Clark was shot to death in 2015. He was a sophomore at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville who was trying to sell a sports car on Craigslist and arranged to meet Gordon in an area of Hazelwood, Missouri, behind a truck training school where Gordon worked.
Clark was shot once. Police found his body hidden in nearby woods.
