(KTRS) – Salvation Army bell ringers and Girl Scouts selling cookies are no longer welcome outside of Schnucks grocery stores.
The grocer announced that they will no longer allow groups soliciting donations to set up at store entrances.
Earlier this year the chain laid off around 200 union warehouse workers. Since then, some of the workers have been picketing outside of Schnucks locations and handing out information to customers. The Post-Dispatch reports that Schnucks officials did not say if the new solicitor ban is connected to the union dispute.
