Paul McCartney came back to St. Louis over the weekend, and played Busch Stadium, almost 50 years to the day since the last time he was there, with The Beatles, in 1966. But after The Beatles broke up in 1970, Paul made a few solo albums, but also formed Wings, his side-project with wife Linda, and Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine. Although the band went through many lineup changes throughout its existence, Laine stayed on through ’til the end, working with the McCartneys from 1971, until the band broke up in 1981.
Carney had a chat with Denny a few years back, and since Paul was coming through town, we figured we’d air the bit about Wings again. Enjoy!
