(KTRS) – The annual 3-day Back to School Sales Tax Holiday is coming up next week.
Between August 5 and 7, certain back to school purchases are exempt from sale taxes. Some of the purchases included in the holiday: clothing less than $100 and computers up to $1,500. Not all cities are participating, but the state portion of the sales tax–just over 4-percent–will not be charged. But in non-participating municipalities, they will charge local sales tax.
More information about the sales tax holiday can be found here.
