Legendary newsman Charles Kuralt narrated the 1966 CBS television documentary “16 in Webster Groves” and followed 16 year-olds in the well-to-do St. Louis suburb. The show portrayed the kids and their parents as privileged elitists, and even bigoted racists at times, but many in the community thought the finished product was unfair, and cut out the other side of many of the interviews chosen for the program.

We talked to Carol Porter, who was 16 in Webster Groves in 1966, and was featured in the movie. The program turns 50 this year, and we want to know how people felt they were portrayed at the time, and if it even still matters after all these years.
