WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) – Paul Stastny scored the tiebreaking goal with 3:38 left in regulation, and the St. Louis Blues fought back from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 on Tuesday night.
After Jets forward Mark Scheifele hit the post with a shot, the Blues moved the puck the other way and Vladimir Tarasenko fed a pass across to Stastny. He put a shot off the post and past rookie goalie Connor Hellebuyck.
Alexander Steen and Tarasenko each scored on the power play, and Troy Brouwer also had a goal for St. Louis. Jake Allen stopped 33 shots.
Steen, Tarasenko and Kevin Shattenkirk had two assists apiece.
The loss halted a three-game home winning streak for the Jets, who got goals from Scheifele, Chris Thorburn and Drew Stafford. Hellebuyck made 22 saves in his third straight start.
Tyler Myers and Mathieu Perreault each had a pair of assists, and Scheifele added one.
