(KTRS) – The Municipal Court in the city of St. Louis will begin accepting partial payments of fees and fines online.
This change eliminates the need for people to show up at court to make partial payments. After making a payment, the defendant will get a new court date and must appear before another payment can be made. Administrative Judge Gordon Schweitzer says the change “helps ease that undue stress or burden of leaving work or needing childcare just to get to court to pay.”
This is the latest change the city has made since the shooting of Michael Brown last year.
