West Alton, MO (KTRS) Two suspects are being sought in connection with a carjacking and an accident in St. Charles County.
Police say the male suspects were traveling a stolen Toyota Avalon at a high rate of speed late Tuesday morning when they crashed into another vehicle on Highway 67 and 94 in West Alton.
Several motorists stopped to help. The suspect driver got out of the stolen vehicle and offered several witnesses money to help them flee the scene. The suspects then stole a 2016 Dodge Ram Pick-Up belonging to one of those motorists after demanding the vehicle and threatening to kill to him.
A security camera captured an image of one the suspects.
The stolen vehicle, a 2016 Dodge Ram, was located Tuesday evening in the area of Highway 367 and Parker Road in north St. Louis County.
Police released this description of the suspects:
Suspect 1
Black male, 20s
5’ 11” to 6’
160 lbs
Short hair
Last seen wearing: black baseball hat with star, grey long sleeve shirt
Suspect 2
Black male, 20s
Dark complexion, short hair
Approx. 5’ 6”
130 to 140 lbs
Walked as he appeared to be injured from the crash with a limp and by holding his head
Last seen wearing: black nylon pants with blue stripe
