(KTRS) – It was a successful Giving Tuesday for several St. Louis-area charities.

The St. Louis Business Journal reports the Missouri History Museum launched a campaign to restore Chase Hotel’s neon sign. They hope to raise $10,000 by the Spring–they collected more than $1,000 on Giving Tuesday.

Operation Food Search collected more than $9,000 for its program to provide food for children on the weekends.

Nationwide, nearly 700,000 donors contributed more than $116 million.
