MADRID (AP) - A Spanish court official says 77 people were killed when a passenger train derailed on a curvy stretch of track in northwestern Spain in what was one of the country's worst rail accidents in decades.
Maria Pardo Rios, spokeswoman for the Galicia region's main court, said Thursday that 73 people were found dead at the scene of the accident and four died at hospitals.
At least 140 people were injured in the derailment late Wednesday.
NEW YORK (AP) - Blogger Nik Richie tells The Associated Press he initially didn't believe it when a woman contacted him in April and claimed she had exchanged sexual texts and photographs with former congressman Anthony Weiner.
Richie's website, The Dirty, upended the New York City mayoral race Monday when it published some of Weiner's correspondence with the woman, including revealing photographs it claimed were of his genitals.
Richie says he withheld the texts and pictures for months while he tried to verify the woman's story.
He says he had nothing against Weiner before the scandal, but thinks he should withdraw from the mayoral race.
