A second teen has died after a car crash Tuesday afternoon.
Police say that 15-year-old Darius Clay and 17-year-old Martez Edwards were in a speeding car when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree on Euclid in North St. Louis. Police later learned the car they were in had been stolen. The owner had started the car and gone back inside to allow the vehicle time to warm up.
Police say a third passenger left the scene of the accident before emergency crews arrived.
Some good news after a rough morning commute: MoDOT has opened many lanes on I-55 near Bayless.
The highway was closed for more than six hours after a collision between a tanker truck and a MoDOT plow. Authorities say the crash caused a fuel leak. Emergency responders used sandbags to keep the fuel from reaching a nearby creek.
Police have identified the driver who died in a car accident on Interstate-44 yesterday.
Morgan Ciota was driving eastbound on 44 near the Jefferson exit when she lost control of her car. The driver of a semi truck saw her car start to spin and the driver tried to avoid Ciota. But the semi slid into the car. When emergency crews arrived they pronounced Ciota dead on the scene.
Police believe that speed may have been a factor in the accident.
Police are yet not sure what led to a crash on Interstate 170 that killed a DirecTV serviceman Thursday.
The crash happened on northbound 170 near Page Boulevard just before noon. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a DirecTV service van rear-ended a semi trailer.
Overland Police say the van's driver 35 year old Anthony Graciani of St. Louis was extricated from the wreck and taken to a hospital where he later died. No one else was injured.
Interstate 64 was shutdown near Scott Air Force Base after a prison bus crash. The accident happened on the eastbound side of the highway near Route 158.
Police say the bus was traveling in the westbound lanes when it crossed over the center median and crashed on the eastbound side. Thirteen people--nine inmates and four guards--were taken to the hospital. As many as fifteen inmates were injured, but the extent of the injuries is unknown.

Police say a car driving on Weldon Spring pulled in front of a car that was driving on Technology Drive. A passenger in the vehicle on Weldon Spring died, the driver of that car was injured.
The driver of the other vehicle was also injured.
A pair of murder suspects are in police custody following a chase and crash.
Around 9:30 this morning officers saw a car they thought was connected to a murder. When police tried to pull the car over, the driver sped off. The car crashed near West Florissant and De Soto.
Two suspects were captured, but the third escaped. The suspects are connected to a crime from the past few days.
FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — Authorities say a fleeing motorist has suffered serious injuries from crashing into a suburban St. Louis home.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the 30-year-old St. Charles County woman was leading state troopers on a chase when she slammed into a Ferguson home around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
Police said no one at the home was injured. But the woman's vehicle caught fire, and she was taken to a St. Louis hospital.
Court records show the woman was driving on a suspended license after failing to pay court fees.
Police officers were not able to save two people from a fiery crash over the weekend.
The single-car accident happened on I-170 on Sunday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 27-year-old Nicholas Nelson's car left the road, hit a median cable and sign, then flipped over and caught fire. An off-duty St. Louis County police officer and Berkley officers tried to put out the fire and rescue the occupants, but failed.
Nelson and passenger Ilana Elbert both died.
