One dead, two injured in north St. Louis crash

One person is dead and two others injured after a hit-and-run driver crashed into another vehicle in north St. Louis. Police say the suspect was driving a Ford Explorer Thursday afternoon when he first sideswiped a vehicle near Market and 9th. The driver didn't stop however, he continued down I-70, exiting onto Branch street when he ran a stop sign at North Broadway. There's when he T-boned a Pontiac with three people inside. The driver of the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passangers were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The Jaws of Life had to be used to rescue the survivors of the crash.
