ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities are trying to sort out the facts after six people rushed into an eastern Missouri high school and started a fight.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports none of the four adults and two juveniles were associated with St. Charles West High School, where the melee occurred.
Police say the mob ran into the school about 2:30 p.m. Friday as classes were ending for the day. Witnesses said the group began fighting in the lobby, but it's not clear if they were targeting a St. Charles West student.
Two school district employees were hurting trying to break up the fight. One juvenile, whose identity wasn't immediately clear, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said no weapons were involved. All six suspects were detained.
