ST. LOUIS, Mo (KTRS) -- City officials, including Mayor Slay joined forces Thursday afternoon to support The Salvation Army.

Employees, volunteers, soldiers and students from Carr Lane Performing Arts Academy filled City Hall with holiday carols.

Mayor Slay and other officials were out ringing the bell to support The Red Kettle Campaign. Donations support various shelters, food baskets and toys for children who may not receive a gift this holiday season.

Mr. Slay says, "The Salvation Army does a lot to help some the most vulnerable in our community, our neighbors who need a hand help. Some of the them who do not have a place to lay their head at night, like many of us are fortunate to have."
