A number of residential break-ins in St. Louis County has police urging residents to be vigilant. Authorities are searching for suspects accused of breaking into several homes in south county near the intersection of Interstates 55 and 270. The suspects reportedly go door-to-door asking residents if they need yard work done. They then break-in if no one is home. In one recent case, however, two men kicked in the back door of a home thinking no one was there. The female homeowner was inside and hid until they left. Police say the thieves seem most interested in electronics.
