Two late-night joggers were robbed near Carondelet Park around 12:30 this morning.

The victims told police a car pulled up next to them and the driver asked for directions. When one of the joggers approached the car, three teens assaulted him and stole his cell phone. The suspects piled into the car and sped off.

Police arrested two suspects in connection to the crime and a third is being held by juvenile authorities  Two suspects remain at large. Police say the suspects are all thought to be between 15 and 18 years old.

Three suspects have been arrested, two are still on the loose after a jogger was robbed in south St. Louis early Thursday morning.

Police say the male jogger was attacked and had his cellphone stolen in the 6200 block of Leona around 12:15 a.m. when three men and two women pulled up in a car and asked for directions.

The jogger was unhurt.

Police are asking for help to find the suspect in a Maplewood bank robbery.

Police say a man robbed the PNC Bank on Big Bend. That suspect is described as a white man, between 5'8" and 5'10".  

Police say the suspect was wearing a ball cap, a dress shirt and tie, and appeared to be wearing a fake beard. Anyone with information is asked to call the Maplewood Police Department at 314-646-3621 or 314-781-3733.

A restaurant cook was attacked and robbed overnight in Shiloh, IL. Authorities say a suspect is in custody.

According to police, the worker was finishing his shift at the 54th Street Grill in the Green Mount Crossing Shopping Center off I-64. Shiloh police rushed to the scene just after 1:00 a.m. Monday after the employee reported being grabbed from behind and robbed while he was waiting for a ride outside the restaurant.

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, Shiloh police and Illinois State Police set up a perimeter and used search dogs to track down the suspect.

The suspect was captured by police and taken into custody.  Charges could be filed later Monday.  The employee suffered a minor injury and was treated and released by EMS workers.

A 34-year-old man faces several charges after prosecutors say he tried to rape a Bridgeton woman before violently attacking her with a hammer.

Police say on April 21 Daniel Lee broke into the woman's home to steal coins. Lee found the home owner then allegedly tried to rape her and started to viciously beat her with the hammer. During the arrest, police say Lee also tried to grab an officer's gun.

A St. Louis man faces charges because he doesn't handle rejection well.

 

Police say Ronald Burns approached a woman in a South St.. Louis store and asked for her number. When she said no, Burns allegedly followed her out of the store and robbed her at gunpoint. Burns now faces several charges in connection to the incident.

Two St. Charles police officers are recovering from injuries after they were hit by two armed robbers in their getaway car.

Two 18-year-old men are in custody. They are suspected of robbing a St. Charles Steak 'n Shake and then ramming two police cars while trying to escape.

It happened just before four Wednesday morning outside a Steak ‘N Shake on First Capitol Drive in St Charles. 

One officer was taken to the hospital and the other was treated at the scene.

More charges are expected later Wednesday.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Police in St. Louis are searching for five men after a woman was killed during a robbery.

<br><br>

The crime happened Monday night. Police say 39-year-old Glenda Jackson and two others were robbed at gunpoint by five assailants. One of the suspects shot Jackson in the chest as she tried to take back the stolen property.

The suspects ran from the scene. Jackson was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

A woman accused of robbing a smoke shop last weekend made off with only $7.50, but she now faces a huge bail.

Police say 29-year-old Lori Sisak robbed the cashier at knifepoint on Saturday night, but the employee claimed she could not open the cash drawer without a purchase. That is when Sisan allegedly grabbed coins from a tip jar. She is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Metro-east police are looking for two suspect who reportedly robbed a student on the SIU-Edwardsville campus overnight.  University officials issued a text alert to students and staff reporting the 1:00am robbery at the Cougar Village apartment complex.  

The suspects are described as two black men in their 20s.   One suspect is described as in his 20s, thin and wearing a black jacket and stocking cap and carrying a handgun. The second suspect also is described in his 20s and thin with a gray coat and stocking cap. They were armed with a handgun.

Officials haven't said what was stolen from the victim.
