Frances Levine is the new president of the Missouri History Museum.
The museum made the announcement today. Levine was the director of the New Mexico History Museum. Levine will receive annual compensation worth $260,000.
The Missouri History Museum’s previous president, Dr. Robert Archibald, stepped down in December 2012.
Some good news after a rough morning commute: MoDOT has opened many lanes on I-55 near Bayless.
The highway was closed for more than six hours after a collision between a tanker truck and a MoDOT plow. Authorities say the crash caused a fuel leak. Emergency responders used sandbags to keep the fuel from reaching a nearby creek.
