New details show a possible history of violence between 76-year-old Ivan Mullenix and his 69-year-old wife Mary Ann, who is now charged with stabbing her former husband to death last week in their west St. Louis County mansion. According to police reports, Mary Ann alleged her husband choked her and threw her to the ground during a fight last summer. In the same report, Ivan Mullenix claimed his wife had struck him in the face with an 8-pound dumbbell. Neither side decided to press charges. In the report obtained by the Post-Dispatch, police noted that Mary Ann was acting irrationally that night, and they included a "caution code" about her use of alcohol. Mary Ann is currently free of $50,000 bail. She's been required to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet.
