Farewell... to a Friend
Part of the Large Morning Show for 12 years, Reggie will be greatly missed. RIP Reggie.
Take five very different people, each with an attitude, lots of regular contributors, plug them into a radio studio (suitably equipped with food and drink) and suddenly you've got Frank O. Pinion and The Large Morning Show in the Afternoon!
Heard each weekday afternoon from 3pm- 6pm, the show regularly tops Adult listener ratings in St. Louis.

I was born on December 14, 1949. I believe it was a Wednesday, but my memory of that day is kind of fuzzy. At the age of one, I had my first birthday. At two, my second, and so on. After twelve full years on this earth, I became a teenager. I got married at twenty-one and then, after several years, turned middle aged. I hope I haven't left anything out.
"I started my life in an old, cold run down tenement slum. My father left, he never".oops, that's the Supremes.
Actually, I was born in St. Louis, a huge baby with lots of hair on my body, who made my mother cry over guilt that the pounds of strawberries she had eaten during pregnancy had resulted in an ape baby. But the next day the hair was gone, along with the giant point on my head and all was well. Grew up playing dodge ball, wiffle ball, and riding my bike in a circle in our cul-de-sac in Affton. Lived in 40 different houses, and have had about as many jobs. Frank assures me this job will last...at least for a few more weeks.
Ian continued his work at KTRS diligently and with great integrity ("I weaseled my way...to become Ian the Peon") and eventually became the Board Operator for Frank O. Pinion's Large Morning Show In The Afternoon.
Now that he has a full-time job, Ian no longer has to wear that electronic ankle bracelet of which he was so proud.
Dan Strauss is known throughout the radio industry as the World's Worst Producer. But his incredible skill at mimicry makes up for anything lacking in other professional areas. Sort of.
Oddly enough he could be the World's Worst Producer to write his own biography.
Putting the "large" into the Large Morning Show in the Afternoon; not only do you get to hear the banter of four show personalities, but tag on their regular contributors and you have a jam packed show daily.

Bill Clevlen- Weekdays: 4:50pm
Bill joined "The Large Morning Show" in the Afternoon in October 2000. His daily attempt at comedy can be heard during "The Bill Clevlen Segment" every weekday afternoon at 4:55pm
Bill is also the regular fill-in host for Frank O. Pinion when he takes one of his very rare vacations.
Mike Evans- Weekdays: 5:35pm
I've covered everything including the World Series, Super Bowls, Inaugurations, and an Impeachment. There have been hundreds of Movie Premiers, several Moon Shots, and 18 Academy Awards, and everything in between. I've interviewed Presidents and every sports and Hollywood star out there. Life has been very good for this High School dropout, and I give all praise to God. And the icing on the cake is my 10-year marriage to my great wife Cheryl while also getting 2 more great kids!
New Releases- Tuesdays: 4:30pm
The Weekend Report- Thursdays: 4:30pm
Joe was driving home from work listening to his favorite radio show (the Large Morning Show in the Afternoon on the Big 550) when the Mike Evans report was cut short due to a bad cell signal. Joe didn't waste a second calling in and telling Dan Strauss to "trust him" and throw him on the air. Joe threw out a handful of entertainment stories and, without a second thought, closed out by saying, "This is Joe Hipperson for the BIG 550, KTRS, and I'm HIPP ON ENTERTAINMENT."
